Two operating modes are available:
- Golf mode
- Golf mode with vibration signal
To move from one mode to the other, press the OPEN button once to turn on the
unit. While looking through the eyepiece, press the MODE button and quickly
release. When switching on the rangefinder, it is in the last measuring mode used.
The different measuring modes available and mode indicators are listed below:
 Golf mode
No icon displayed in the upper left quarter of the screen = Golf mode
While looking through the rangefinder, press the OPEN button once to activate
the LCD display. Place the aiming symbol located in the center of the field of view
upon a target at least 5 yards/meters away and then press the OPEN button again
for a few seconds until the range reading is displayed. The laser emission symbol
blinks on the display indicating the laser is being transmitted. Once a range has
been acquired, you can release the OPEN button. The laser emission symbol will
disappear once the OPEN button has been released (i.e. the laser is no longer
being transmitted). You can press the OPEN button again at any time to measure
the distance to a new target.
After measurement, the measured result is displayed for a few seconds, then the
rangefinder switches off automatically when the display goes off.

In this mode, a vibration confirms the acquisition of the distance to the flag.
