Installation
To safeguard the splashproof rating (IP): route cables so
that the cable sheath extends into the cable grommet by
at least 20 mm (
fig. 12).

B Ensure connection to the correct poles (9 = negative,
10 = positive) to prevent faulty functions.
3.2.2
230 V AC connection
CAUTION: The MCM10 module input is not
fuse-protected.
Overloading the outputs can damage the
MCM10 modules.
B Fuse-protect the power supply of the
MCM master module with a maximum of
16 A.
B Only use cable of comparable quality.
B Never connect additional controllers that regulate other
system components to outputs C (pump) and D (fault
signal).
CAUTION: Output C (pump) of the MCM10
module has a maximum load capacity of
250 W.
B Connect pumps with a higher power
consumption via relays.
B Recommendation when using several MCM10
modules (cascade with more than 4 boilers): provide
the additional MCM10 modules with power via the
MCM10 master module. This ensures simultaneous
commissioning.
The maximum power consumed by the
system components (pump, ...) must not
exceed specifications (

tab. 3 page 60).

Remote fault indicator connection

A remote fault indicator with acoustic or optical indication
(e.g. fault indicator) can be connected to the zero volt fault
contact (
fig. 3, terminals D, page 59). The state of the
fault contact is also indicated via an LED on the
MCM10 module (
tab. 10, page 68).
Situation
Power ON, no fault
Power ON, fault or no power
Tab. 9 Contact, operating states
This zero volt contact carries a maximum current of 1 A at
230 V AC.
The remote fault indicator is enabled when
the power supply to the MCM10 master
module is interrupted (function check).
3.2.4
Electrical connection of the outside
temperature sensor
In conjunction with a heating controller with 2-wire BUS
control, connect the outside temperature sensor to the
MCM10 master module (
the boiler.
3.2.5
Electrical connection of the flow
temperature sensor
Flow temperature sensor connection (
• System version 1: at the WM10 low loss header
module; or
• System versions 2, 3 and 4: at the MCM10 module
(terminal E).
3.2.6
Electrical connection of an external
switching contact
Prior to connecting an external switching contact, remove
the jumper from the plug-in strip.
3.2.7

Disposal

B Dispose of packaging in an environmentally
responsible manner.
B When replacing components, dispose of the used
components in an environmentally responsible manner.
3.3

Fitting accessories

B Fit accessories according to legal requirements and
the installation instructions supplied.
B Connect BUS subscribers RC35, WM10 and MM10
at terminal J (
fig. 3, page 59).
