DISPOSAL OF THE PACKAGING
Please keep all packaging materials (cardboard, plastic
tapes and Styrofoam), so that in case of a problem, the
device can be sent back to the service centre in accurate
condition!
INSTALLING THE APPLIANCE
APPLIANCE LOCATION:
Keep the device away from hot and moist surfaces.
Always use bolts to attach the device to a surface.
Ensure unobstructed access to the electricity plug at
all times.
Make sure the power source reflects the parameters
on the rating plate!
In order to attach the device to a given surface using
bolts, first make sure it is an appropriate place to use
the device and that it will not generate any hazards (for
guidelines see the safety recommendations in this user
manual). Attach the device with sufficient force to ensure
it is stable. The surface to which it is mounted has to be
resistant to pressure and vibrations which will occur at all
times when the device is in use. Provide sufficient space
for the operator and the workpiece. Ensure access to an
electricity socket.
Tools which might be required:
A set of spanners or an adjustable spanner
Screwdriver
Mounting the device on a work surface:
1.
Align the device on the chosen work surface.
2.
Insert bolts into openings in the base of the device
(13) and into holes in the work surface.
3.
Screw nuts onto bolts.
The bolts and nuts required for such an assembly are not
included with the device, the user is required to obtain
them independently.
Attaching the workpiece bracket (Fig. 1):
1.
Ensure the plug is disconnected from the socket.
2.
Attach workpiece bracket using the included bolts,
washers, toothed washers and star nuts.
3.
Align workpiece support so that it is at most 1.5 mm
away from the wheel surface.
1
Mounting the spark shield (fig. 2):
1.
Ensure the plug is disconnected from the socket.
2.
Mount the spark shield using the adjustment bolt
and nut.
3.
Align the spark shield so that the distance between
its lowermost edge and the grinding wheel is at most
2 mm.

Replacing the grinding wheel:
Maximum grinding wheel dimensions for GRIN350D:
Ø200 mm – external diameter
20 mm – thickness
Ø16 mm – grinding wheel bore.
Maximum grinding wheel dimensions for GRIN150D:
Ø150 mm – external diameter
16 mm – thickness
Ø12.7 mm – grinding wheel bore.
Maximum permissible speed of the grinding tool cannot be
less than the speed of the device.
The left grinding wheel nut has a left-hand thread and has
to be loosened in a clockwise direction. The right grinding
wheel nut has a right-hand thread and has to be loosened
in an anti-clockwise direction.
1.
Remove plug from the electricity socket.
2.
Remove the spark shield (Fig. 2 above)
3.
Remove 3 bolts which hold the grinding wheel
housing together (Fog. 3).
4.
Unscrew the fastening nut (Fig. 4) Remove locking
flanges (Fig. 5) and paper pads (Fog. 5).
5.
Replace the grinding wheel (Fig. 6) and reverse the
above steps to assemble the device.
6.
Remember to attach the spark shield as specified in
another section of this user manual.

ATTENTION! Ensure there are paper pads (or different,
made from a flexible material) between the grinding
wheel and the metal flanges. This reduces the risk of the
damaging the grinding tool during assembly.
ATTENTION! Do not tighten the grinding wheel nut
excessively, as this may cause it to crack and lead to an
accident when in use.
GRIN350D AND GRIN150D TABLE GRINDER USE:
Attention! Before commencing grinding, make sure that
the grinding tool in the device is suitable for the material
which the workpiece is made of. Only use tools which are
specifically designed for grinding.
Rev. 10.10.2017
ATTENTION! The dust generated during grinding may be
hazardous to health. It is recommended to remove it on
a regular basis whilst working the grinder using suitable
devices, to work in a well ventilated area and to use a dust
mask.
To turn the device on set the I/0 switch to the I position.
To turn the device off set the I/0 switch to the 0 position.
It is recommended to inspect the grinding wheel before
each use to ensure it is mounted correctly and in terms of
its overall technical state. Apart from a visual inspection,
a test should be carried out entailing activating the device
and leaving it to run without load for about 1 minute. This
will test the ability of the abrasive wheel to function and
will reduce the risk of it cracking when in use, as in most
cases if the tool is damaged it will crack during the test. Do
not use damaged or deformed grinding wheels. The arrow
on the top of the grinding wheel housing indicates its
spin direction. After switching the device on, do not stand
directly in front of it, avoid the space towards which the
spinning grinding tool is oriented. Hold the workpiece and
firmly push it against the workpiece bracket and then to the
device grinding wheel. Avoid pushing the workpiece against
the grinding wheel with excessive force, especially before
the tool has had time to warm up. Excessive force results
in the tool heating up and may cause it to break and injure
the operator. For best grinding effects, move the workpiece
from side to side to ensure even wear of the grinding
wheel. It is recommended to cool down the workpiece
using water from time to time. The workpiece should not
exceed the dimensions which might generate a health
hazard or damage any elements in the surrounding area
whilst handling the workpiece. It is recommended for the
weight of the workpiece to be such as to facilitate handling
it with one hand. Check the distance between the spark
shield, the workpiece bracket and the wheel regularly. It
should not be more than 1.5 mm for the bracket and 2 mm
for the spark shield. That distance will increase as the tool
wears, and failure to adjust it may result in the workpiece
being pulled in by the grinding tool causing a risk of injury
or death. If it is not possible to set the above distance to
less than 1.5 mm, replace the grinding tool.
TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE
During transport, the machine should be protected from
shaking, falling and turning upside down. Store it in
a properly ventilated place with dry air and without any
corrosive gas. When carrying the device which has been
unpacked, hold by the housing. Do not attempt to grab
sharp edges, moving elements or the power cable.
Store grinding wheels in a vertical position in a dry place.
Do not stack the grinding wheels on top of one another.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
A clean grinder will be safer to use and will function more
efficiently. remember to remove the plug from the socket
when carrying out any maintenance works.
After using it, clean the housing, vents, switches and covers
using a stream of air (pressure not exceeding 0.3 MPa),
brush or a dry cloth.
Do not use chemical detergents or cleaning agents. Use
a clean dry cloth to clean tools and handles. Use a clean dry
cloth to clean tools.
Always unplug the device before cleaning it and after
each use.
Use cleaner without corrosive substances to clean
surface.
Rev. 10.10.2017
After cleaning the device, all parts should be dried
before reusing it.
Store the unit in a dry, cool location, free from
moisture and direct exposure to sunlight.
Never spray the device with water jets.
CHECK REGULARLY THE DEVICE
Check regularly the machine for signs of damage. If the
machine is damaged, please stop using it immediately and
contact your customer service to solve the problem.
What to do in case of a problem?
Please contact your customer service and prepare following
information:
Invoice number and serial number (the latter is to be
found on the technical plate on the machine).
If relevant, take a picture of the damaged, broken or
defective part.
It will be easier for your customer service clerk to
determine the source of the problem if you give
a detailed and precise description of the matter.
Avoid formulations like „the device doesn't ́t
heat up", which may mean that it doesn't ́t heat
enough or even not at all. The more detailed your
information, the better customer service will be able
to solve your problem rapidly and efficiently!
CAUTION:
Never
