These connections should be made using twin conductor cable with
a minimum section of 4 mm, or greater if the distance exceeds 20 m.
Polarity (+/-) should be maintained throughout the installation. Phase
inversion in any of the connected units will cause various frequency
cancellations that will adversely affect the sound response of the
system.
General distribution of the speaker system: the Middle-high frequency
units (satellites) should be installed on stands more than 2 m high
(between 2.5 and 4m). The best location for the Subwoofer units is at
floor level in an area between the left and right channel satellite units.
Important: If, for any reason there is a short-circuit in any of the
speaker lines, the short-circuit protection circuit lights the Limiter LED
(red) and completely cuts the power output of the affected channel
until the fault is corrected. This guarantees protection of the speakers
and power stages.
Protection systems
The TP 1502 is fitted with the most advanced, fully tested Protection
systems:
- Soft-start. Connecting the power supply activates a delay circuit to
prevent current peaks during this initial period. This power supply
circuit also includes an anti-parasite filter and an automatic Breaker
to protect against excess consumption.
- Short-circuit: If one or more speaker lines are short circuited the
system disconnects the corresponding power module.
- DC. Presence of Direct Current at the speaker output. The special
design of the power module prevents this from occurring.
- Temperature. Protection against over-heating in the power modules
is controlled by a NTC sensor in contact with the heat sinks. A protective
circuit is activated if they pass pre-set limits (90ºC) resulting in a gradual
reduction of the maximum power within acceptable limits. This situation
may indicate a fault in the ventilation system (blocked or faulty) or
abnormal working conditions caused by continued excess input signal.
Re-establish normal conditions or correct the problem in the ventilation
and the equipment will automatically return to maximum power
performance.
- Ventilation. The cooling fan has a double control. The power con-
sumption, governed by the working conditions (low, medium or high
power), adjusts the required air flow. On the other hand, unusual
temperature increases also gradually increase the air flow to compensate
for these circumstances. If for any reason, obstruction of the cooling
circuit, fault in the cooling fan, for example; make the temperature
increase to alarming levels (>90 ºC) a protection circuit disconnects
the input signal (Red Limiter LED lit constantly) until normal conditions
are restored. This circuit automatically re-arms within a few minutes.
In this case, immediately revise the installation or elements that could
have been the cause.
- Limiter. An efficient Anti-clip Limiter Circuit protects the speaker
output against the danger of Clipping Distortion, the cause of the
majority of breakdowns in speaker systems (burnt-out or shorted coils).
This circuit does not guarantee full protection of the speakers, but it
does extend their working life when operating under conditions of
continual clipping.
Maintenance
Humidity and dust are the two most damaging elements for any
electronic device. Avoid use under these conditions.
Basic maintenance is limited to inspection and cleaning of the areas
most affected by the air current generated by the cooling fan at
least once a year, or whenever any obstruction is observed in the
front air outlet grille.

6 - CERTIFICATE OF WARRANTY
Amate Electroacústica, s.l., as the manufacturer of this unit, hereby,
GUARANTEES for THREE YEAR the perfect functioning of all the parts and
components making up this equipment, as well as the performance qualities
and technical features specified, with the right to the repair or replacement
of all the parts presenting malfunctions or manufacturing defects, as well as
the Labour required for its recovery, provided that all the observations for
the installation, operation and maintenance detailed in this Manual have
been strictly complied with.
6.1 - Conditions that validate this Certificate:
a) Once this equipment has been purchased, the file included herein must
be filled in and duly stamped by the Distributor or Supplier, and sent to our
technical headquarters, who shall act as the sole Entity acknowledged for
the enforcement of the corresponding Certificate of Warranty.
Warning: If the preceding procedure is not followed at the time of the
purchase, the departure date for the Year of Guarantee shall be the one
determined by the Serial Nº of Manufacture. It is therefore the responsibility
of the purchaser to follow the correct procedure within a maximum term of
30 days starting on the date of purchase.
b) In case of fault or claim, the equipment must be delivered to the Supplier
who provided it so that his own Authorized Technical Service may examine
the symptoms and causes of the possible problem. This first inspection will
inform of the possibility or not of the application of the corresponding
Certificate of Warranty. In both cases, and if this should be considered
necessary, the equipment shall be delivered to the factory for its corresponding
inspection and repair. The final determination of the applicability or not of
the Warranty shall be an exclusive decision of our own Technical Assistance
Service, after the causes for the fault and the correct fulfillment of the
requirements demanded for its corresponding enforcement have been
previously verified.
c) If the Warranty has been accepted, it shall cover any Cost of repair and
freight of the equipment from the Sales premises (Distributor) to the factory
and vice-versa.
d) Any possible repairs carried out during the period of Warranty will not
extend its duration under any circumstance.
e) No person or Distributor whatsoever is authorized to extend or exceed
the period of validation of this Certificate.
6.2 - Conditions that invalidate the application of this Warranty:
a) The non-fulfillment of the necessary requirements described in the proper
Contract of Validation for the Certificate of Warranty (6.1a).
b) Any internal manipulation carried out by any Technical Service not
authorized by Amate Electroacústica, s.l.
c) The manipulation or deletion of the Series number that identifies the
equipment.
6.3 - Conditions that Exclude the application of this Warranty:
a) Any damages caused by irresponsible handling, either intentional or
accidental, not related to the installation or normal operation of the equipment,
as well as those derived from careless manipulation or that exceeding the
limits of the technical or physical specifications described in this Manual.
b) Any damages caused by blows received during transport when this
occurs without its original packaging or without its protection accessories.
Do not forget that the basic Conditions of the Tranport insurance demand
the compulsory use of the original packaging in order to have the right to
any claim or indemnity for defects caused during transport.
c) This Warranty does not cover any possible damage caused to other
equipment or external devices, even though they might be connected or
directly related between them.
NOTE: The Conditions and Observations for the application of this Contract
of Warranty are for all the territories of the Spanish state. For IMPORTING
countries, the specifications of each countries must be complied with, being
responsible for its Application the Representative or National Importer himself.
For any claim of a Legal type, only the Ordinary Courts corresponding to the
city of Terrassa (Barcelona-Spain) shall be valid. For technical queries you
