reduce the difference. This phenomenon also happens when
there is not enough water in the water tank.
• When the water tank is running empty, you will hear more noise
when pressing the steam button. When empty, the pilot light (12)
will light up. If you want to go on using the steam function, you will
have to refill the water tank.
VERTICAL IRONING
The burst of steam button also allows you to iron delicate articles of
clothing vertically. This feature is called "vertical burst of steam". To
do so, hang your article of clothing on a hanger, keep the steam
button (1) pressed (or locked by activating button (2)), and pass the
iron to and fro in front of the article of clothing, making sure that the
soleplate does not come into contact with the article of clothing.
The distance between the soleplate and the article of clothing
depends on the kind of textile and the creases.
WHEN YOU HAVE FINISHED IRONING
•
Turn the temperature dial to "MIN", switch the iron (10) and the
boiler (9) off, and unplug the iron from the electrical outlet.
•
Leave the iron on the specially designed tilting tray.
•
Wait for the appliance to cool before storing it away.
ANTI-CALC FEATURE

the appliance, which can absorb unsolvable calcium ion and send
out solvable sodium ion so that water can be softened, and the
process of calcium depositing will then be much slower.
•
Your appliance is provided with an anti-scale cartridge situated
in the tank.
•
It is necessary to replace the cartridge every six months (or every
120 hours of ironing, whichever comes first). This period can vary
according to the frequency of use of the iron and of the scale
