Enterprise Installation

Download the Enterprise installer file
and other required .exe files
and perform install
The Enterprise Installer file can be found at:

1. Make sure the system has these minimum
software requirements before running the
installer:
a) Windows Server 2012 R2 or newer OS
b) IIS 7 Web Server
c) SQL Server 2012 or newer database server or
SQL Express
d) Microsoft .NET Framework Version 4.5 and ASP
.NET MVC4
e) SMTP server information.
2. Access the full user guide to perform Enterprise
installation using the link on page 5.

3. Create and setup your SynapSense Enterprise
accounts in the software. It is strongly
recommended you create two accounts. An
administrator account that is only used for admin
of the system and a second account for operation.
The second account is where to add devices and
users.
4. Go to www.synapsense900.com/point to provide
the IP address of your Enterprise server to the
gateway. Repeat as needed for each gateway.
Note: If you do not have access to the internet,
reference the user manual section 4.2 for how to
manually change the IP address
Important: When setting up your sensing network,
please make sure your sensors are at least 3-5 feet
away from the gateway, and the sensors are at
least 1 foot apart from each other.

Create and Setup Your Network in the
Enterprise Software
5. You will be prompted to create your first sensor
network (if we haven't already). Simply enter a
name for your network.
6. Next, you will be prompted to add a wireless
gateway and wireless sensors to your network.
WARNING: DO NOT insert batteries into the
wireless sensors after they have been configured.
This is because the sensors can sleep for 2 hours if
they cannot find a network.
7. Enter the information from your gateway then click
the "Assign Gateway" button.
Note: If your network is not connected to the
internet, reference section 1.5 in the user manual.
8. Enter the information from your first wireless
sensor then click the "Assign Sensor" button.
Do not insert batteries during this step.
Note: If your network is not connected to the

9. On the next screen, enter a name for the wireless
sensor and use the drop down to tell us how you
are going to be using the wireless sensor (this
allows us to suggest settings for your sensor).
When finished, click the "Continue" button.
10. Repeat these steps to add any additional wireless
sensors to your network. Hit "Done" when
complete.
11. Proceed to page 3 (step 15) to complete
installation.
