Carol, the aerosol therapy device desi-
gned and produced using the most advan-
ced technology.
For even easier use, please follow the
instructions on preparing and using the
Miss Carol aerosol unit. However, before
proceeding, we strongly recommend you
read the short list of warnings in this ma-
nual to make sure you have fully under-
stood how the device works.
Miss Carol is a class IIa medical device,
which turns medicines from a liquid form
into an aerosol spray, to be directly ad-
ministered to the respiratory tract. With
the Sidestream chamber, medicines pe-
netrate the respiratory tracts more easily,
thanks to the optimal size of the aerosol
particles.

The Miss Carol pack contains all acces-
sories to enable the most suitable type
of treatment to be chosen: with a mouth-
piece, nose fork and mask (adult and pae-
diatric masks). Accessories are supplied
in a practical kit.
Miss Carol is reliable and easy to use, and
no special maintenance is necessary.

WARNINGS
• Before use, carefully read the informa-
tion in this manual and keep for future
reference.
• Device for aerosol therapy. Follow the
instructions of a medical practitioner as
to the type of medicine to use, the dose,
frequency and duration of inhalations. All
other uses apart from the intended use
of the device are improper and therefore
dangerous. Artsana cannot be held lia-
ble for any damage caused by incorrect
or unreasonable use or if the device is
used in electrical systems that do not
conform to safety regulations in effect.
• After removing the device from its packa-
ging, check that it is intact, without any
visible damage that could have been
incurred during transport. If in doubt do
