COMMENCING OPERATION
4.1 Danger of explosion!
Keep all parts, your hands and tools free of oil and grease.
4.2 These Operating Instructions have to be observed conscientiously before starting and
during operation.
4.3 Check that the pressure control regulator is suitable for the gas being used (see
Markings, paragraph 3).
4.4 Check that the cylinder valve connection is clean and undamaged; if not the pressure
control regulator must not be connected.
4.5 Before connecting the pressure control regulator briefl y open and close the cylinder valve
(1) in order to remove possible impurities. Do not stand in front of the outlet of the cylinder
valve. Do not hold your hands in front of the cylinder valve outlet.
4.6 Connect the pressure control regulator inlet (2) to the cylinder valve (1) ensuring a gas
tight seal. The safety valve (5) must point downward.
4.7 Connect hose to the connection at the outlet stem (7) and to the downstream equipment.
Use hoses corresponding to EN 559 (ISO 3821) and hose connections corresponding to
EN 560; secure by appropriate hose clips or ferrules.
4.8 Setting the Flow rate
Prior to releasing gas into the system, check the following:
1. Correct version of ECOSAVER is used
2. Gauge pointer at zero
3. Pressure adjusting knob (6) fully screwed out (anti-clockwise)
4.9 Indications to Pressure Contrl Valves having Flowmeter Gauge
Setting of the required fl ow:
At fi rst close the adjusting screw (6) (must be free). Open slowly cylinder valve
(1). The inlet gauge (3) is indicating the cylinder pressure. Open adjusting screw
(6) clockwise and set the desired fl ow.
TERMINATION OF OPERATION
5.
5.1 Short-time interruption:
For short periods. Unscrew the adjusting knob (6) anticlock wise.
5.2 Prolonged interruption:
Close cylinder valve (1); relieve pressure by opening the adjusting knob (6) and down-
stream equipment fully.
