Preparing PC

enclosure access instructions.
Shut down the PC
Disconnect the power cord from the PC
Open the PC enclosure
Remove any covers or panels to gain access to the
motherboard PCIe expansion slots
Removing flyout blanks
Save the bracket screws. The bracket screws
are required for installing the IK 5000 card and
flyouts.
Remove flyout blanks from the PC to accommodate
the flyouts required for the specific IK 5000 QUADRA-
CHEK system
Setting interpolation
X, Y, Z, and Q 1 Vpp encoder signals are interpolated.
Interpolation can be changed by the DIP switch settings
on the IK 5000 QUADRA-CHEK card.

Use the point of a small screwdriver to change DIP
switch settings to the desired interpolation
For interpolation options, refer to the "Interpolation
settings" table below.

switch pair 3-4 as an example pair:

Setting output voltage
X, Y, Z, and Q output voltage can be set to 10 V or 12 V.
Output voltage can be changed by the jumper switch
settings on the IK 5000 QUADRA-CHEK card.
Output voltage jumpers
Remove the jumper
Place the jumper in the desired output voltage setting
position
For settings options, refer to the "Output voltage settings"
table shown below.

Possible settings for each jumper pair using the Q pair
as an example pair:
12 V output (default)
Setting probe trip point
The probe trip point can be set to 2.5 V or GND. The trip
point setting can be changed by the jumper switch on the
IK 5000 QUADRA-CHEK card.

Remove the jumper
Place the jumper in the desired probe trip point setting
position

table shown below.
