Basil Pesto
Use the following ingredients:

1 bunch or jar of basil
■
3 cloves of garlic
■
100 g ground pine nuts
■
70 g grated Parmesan cheese
■
125 ml olive oil
■
salt, pepper
Put the basil, cloves of garlic and the
ground pine nuts into the bowl and chop
the ingredients at low speed. Then add the
grated Parmesan cheese and blend the
mixture further
Loosen the material that sticks to the walls
of the bowl occasionally with the spatula
and add the olive oil. Then blend the mix-
ture further at high speed.
Finally season the pesto with a little salt
and pepper.
Enjoy the pesto on pasta, as a sandwich
spread or as a dip.

Blade agitator/blending

The blade agitator is particularly suited for
all light batters and for blending sauces,
yoghurts and quark, without further chop-
ping the food.
NOTE

The blade agitator is
however, for yeast and bread dough.
Proceed as follows to blend the food:
Put the spindle attachment (10) onto
the drive spindle of the motor unit (4)
(detail A).
Put the jug (7) onto the motor unit (4)
with the handle to the right and turn
the jug clockwise until it audibly snaps
in (detail B).
Put the blade agitator (14) onto the
spindle attachment (10) (detail C).
Put the food to be chopped into the
jug (7).
NOTE

Pay attention to the maximum filling
quantity (1200 ml) in the jug (7).
Put the jug lid (6) onto the jug (7) and
lock it by turning it clockwise until it
audibly snaps in (detail D).
Insert the pusher (8) into the filling
shaft of the jug lid (6) (detail E).
