Troubleshooting
No power (the device does not switch on, the fan cannot be heard)
➤ Check that the power cable is connected to the device and the power
source.
➤ Check that the switch (fig. 2 1, page 3) is in the I or II position.
➤ Verify that the power source is working.
Fan runs but no blue light can be seen
➤ Check that the ultraviolet lamp (fig. 1 3, page 3) is correctly inserted in
the socket (fig. 1 5, page 3) (see chapter "Replacing the ultraviolet lamp
and the nano-mesh divider" on page 25).
➤ Replace the ultraviolet lamp (fig. 1 3, page 3) if necessary (see chapter
"Replacing the ultraviolet lamp and the nano-mesh divider" on page 25).
➤ Check whether the lamp socket (fig. 1 5, page 3) is defective.
Output seems ineffective
➤ Make sure the device is correctly installed:
– In an enclosed room
– Not near the inlet or outlet of an air conditioning system
– The area of the room may not exceed 500 sq. ft. (46 m²)
Output seems low
➤ Clean the vents.
➤ Clean the removable nano-mesh divider (see chapter "Cleaning and car-
ing for Breathe Easy™" on page 27).
➤ Clean the ultraviolet lamp (see chapter "Cleaning and caring for
Breathe Easy™" on page 27).
➤ Check whether ultraviolet lamp needs to be replaced (look at the sticker
to see how long it has been in use).
