Installation and Assembly
The combination of bursting disc and safety valve is always mounted in a vertical
installation position. The bursting disc is to be mounted on the inlet side of the
safety valve, between the connecting piece on the system to be safeguarded and
the safety valve.
Attention!!!
Ensure the correct flow direction of the bursting disc!
To ensure the proper function of the bursting disc/safety valve combination, it
must be installed in such a manner that prevents impermissible static, dynamic or
thermal loads from acting.
In addition, prior to installation, it must be checked that the bursting disc/safety
valve combination is suitable for the intended use. It must also be checked that
the bursting disc/safety valve combination is free from damage and contamination.
If this is not the case, the bursting disc/safety valve combination must not be
installed. Any existing protective caps are to be removed.
Installation must only be performed by qualified staff, and when the pipeline system
is unpressurised. Before the bursting disc/safety valve combination is installed, the
pipelines must be flushed in order to remove any residues. Such residues could
damage the internal parts, resulting in malfunctions or even the complete failure of
the bursting disc/safety valve combination.
The pipelines are to be lead to the bursting disc/safety valve combination in a
tension-free state!
Assembly tightening torque of the clamp connection
The clamp is to be tightened to a max. tightening torque of 10 Nm.
6 Putting into service
Commissioning of the system must only be performed by qualified staff. Before
starting the system for the first time, the operating instructions must be read and
adhered to. It must also be checked that the installation work has been performed
correctly.
