It is mounted on a trolley which makes handling easier but at the same time, requires machine fixing with
ropes.
2.2 INSTALLATION
The pump is equipped with a connecting cable (approximate length: 3 m) with a plug ready for plugging into a
220V 50Hz single-phase current outlet or a 380V 50Hz three-phase current outlet (110V 50Hz for USA).
The cable should only be plugged into an electric socket up to safety standards. The connecting value is
750w.
For extra safety, always provide a differential switch with 30mA release current upstream from the machine;
the electric line must be protected by a 16A automatic valve.
The trolley-mounted pump can be positioned anywhere in the workshop, preferably next to a honey source.
Always make sure that the power cable and the honey conveying pipes do not hinder other operations and
above all, do not imply a risk of stumbling in the passage areas for workshop operators.
The pump can turn in both directions of rotation and either end opening can be indifferently used as an inlet or
outlet.
If the pump is used to transfer honey from a honey extractor outlet, always interpose a filter to prevent wood or
metal fragments (e.g. nails, bits of frame wire etc. produced during the centrifugation phase) from reaching
and damaging the pump rotor.
2.3 DESCRIPTION
Our rotor pump is especially suitable for thick liquids including honey.
Thanks to the remarkable characteristics of this pump, honey can be conveyed without being altered by
shaking: this is achieved thanks to the slow-rotation neoprene rotor operation.
The pump body is made from food-safe AISI 304 stainless steel. The rotor is made from synthetic material –
completely non-toxic and acid-resistant. Honey can be pumped even if it contains solid matters without
causing any damage or machine stops.
Instant priming can be indifferently controlled from either outlet, according to the motor direction of rotation.
The electric motor/pump assembly, complete with an electric gear reverser, electric cable and plug, is
mounted on a trolley with rubber wheels.
This pump can also be used to transfer other liquids (wine, water, oil etc.) and is therefore suitable not just for
beekeeping but for other applications, too, in a number of different fields.
