3. Remaining at this distance, activate the rangefinder by briefly pressing the Power button. Next, hold down the
Plus OR Minus button on the side of the unit until the display changes to "SET" (allows selection of Yards or
Meters) (Fig. 1). Press the Power button to change the display to "CAL"-you are now in calibration mode, with
a "40" or "60" flashing at the bottom of the display (Fig. 2). If your bow sight has a 40 Yard/Meter Pin, select
"40" using the Plus/Minus buttons. If your sight has a 60 Y/M pin, select "60".
4. Press the Power button again. The display will flash "C5" (or "C" with a different number) (Fig. 3). Align the
rangefinder's center circle with the "40 PIN" target on the calibration sheet ("60 PIN" target if using the other
side of the sheet).
5. Press the Plus or Minus button until the solid dot/line on the vertical scale of the rangefinder is aligned with
the "20 PIN" mark on the calibration sheet (with the center circle still on the 40 or 60 PIN mark) (Fig. 4).
Note the "C" (calibration) reference number, especially if you use multiple bows or sights. Once calibrated, you
can quickly return to the correct setting for that bow/sight by selecting this reference number when you use it.
6. The calibration process is complete. Press the Power button to exit and return the rangefinder to normal
operation.
Once calibrated, if you fire the rangefinder and see a line/dot indicator above the aiming circle, it represents the highest
point in the trajectory your arrow will follow. This will help you determine if there are any obstacles in its path, or if
you have a "clear shot".
