ASSEMBLY AND USER'S MANUAL
VARMA SPOT is an extremely versatile radiant heater which can be used in a range of situations to offer extra warmth. It
provides immediate heat, has low energy consumption and is compact while able to heat large areas. VARMA SPOT is
designed and manufactured to the highest technical standards and assembled using high quality components compliant
with safety standards and/or certificates.

2. ACCESSORIES:
VARMA SPOT is supplied with:
• 3 metre cable mod. H05V2V2 resistant at a temperature of 90°
• Schuko plug
• protective grille
• adjustable wall connection
3. INSTALLING VARMA SPOT
Install the heater on the wall at a minimum distance from the ceiling of 20 cm (see examples of installations). The height at
which the heaters are installed generally varies from 1.9 metres to a maximum of 2.2 metres. Wall-mounting of the heater
is the ideal solution to achieve the best results in terms of heat, with the reflector at a 45° angle and the heater perfectly
horizontal. The equipment must not be installed immediately below an electric outlet.
4. HOW TO POSITION VARMA SPOT
1. Aim the reflector in the direction required for the wall-mounted installation. The normal angle is 45° to the horizontal
plane.
2. Never install VARMA SPOT on an inflammable surface or facing an inflammable surface.
3. VARMA SPOT must be placed at a clear distance (line of vision) of not less than 2.0 metres from objects such as
cardboard, fabrics etc and windows. If used in workshops and garages where there are inflammable paints or fuels, VARMA
SPOT must be located more than 4.0 metres from the hazard.
4. We recommend that the heater should not be used in non-ventilated dusty environments to avoid damage to the bulb.
5. If used outdoors VARMA SPOT should be installed in a place sheltered from the rain.
5. BATHROOMS
When installed in bathrooms, ensure that switches or controls cannot be reached from the bath or shower.
6. MAINTENANCE AND REPLACING THE BULB
To keep your VARMA SPOT in perfect condition, occasionally dust the cover and bulb with a brush or compressed air.
To replace the bulb:
1. disconnect the heater from the power supply
2. make sure that the bulb is cold
3. press down one end of the bulb and remove it
4. insert the new bulb taking care not to touch it with bare hands
5. replacement bulbs, 1300 Watt, are available from authorised dealers of the heater.
