7. Use
a. Opening and Closing the Disc Holder
o Turn on the unit. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to open and to close the disc holder. The disc holder cannot be
opened so as to prevent accidental interruption. Stop the playing first and press the OPEN/CLOSE button.
b. Loading a Compact Disc
o Hold the compact disc by its edges and place it carefully in the disc holder. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to
close the disc holder. The LCD will show the number of tracks and the total playing time for about 4 seconds
before entering the cue mode. The cue point will automatically be set at the starting point of the first track.
o Do not place any foreign objects in the disc holder. Place one disc at the time.

o When a track has been selected during playing, playing will restart as soon as the selected track has been
reached.
o If the
button is pressed while the first track is selected, the player will skip back to the last track. If the

d. Playing the Disc
o Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start playing the selected track.
o The point at which playing starts will automatically be stored as the cue point. Press the CUE button to return to
that cue point.
e. Stopping the Playback
There are two ways of stopping the playback:
- Press the PLAY/PAUSE button during playing.
- Press the CUE button during playing to return to the cue point and to pause the compact disc.
f. Pausing
o Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to change between play and pause.
g. Cueing
o Cueing is the action of preparing for playing.
o By pressing the CUE button, the player will enter the cue mode, return to the cue point and enter the pause mode.
When the PLAY/PAUSE button is pressed, playing resumes and starts from the cue point.
o After a track search, the CD player automatically positions itself at the point where the sound starts and cues
there (autocue function).
o In cue mode, hold the CUE button pressed. The CD player will start from the cue point. When you release the
CUE button, the CD player will automatically return to the cue mode. This allows you to check the cue point.
h. Frame Search
o This function allows you to monitor the sound at a certain section of the disc and manually change the position.
Use the frame search to determine the starting point with precision.
