Description of the appliance
How the Monoblock water
softening system works
The Monoblock water softener is
installed between the mains water sup-
ply and a commercial dishwasher to
soften a hard water supply.
Softening is carried out by means of an
exchange of ions. The resin in the resin
cartridge:
– combines with the desposit forming
ions of the water
– causing salt ions to be released into
the water.
The resin needs to reactivated once
these salt ions have been used up.
How often reactivation takes place will
depend on water usage and the water
hardness level. The reactivation interval
is set via the weekly disk in the control
unit. Reactivation is carried out
automatically.
Minimum flow pressure
The Monoblock water softener requires
a minimum flow pressure of approx.
200 kPa (2.0 bar) when used in
conjunction with a fresh water system
dishwasher without built-in water
softener.
The Monoblock water softener requires
a minimum flow pressure of approx.
200 kPa (2.0 bar) when used in
conjunction with a tank system
dishwasher without built-in water
softener.
Water pressure must not drop below
200 kPa (2.0 bar) even when at full
flow.
