Any work on the pump electrical parts (including the
power cable and the float) must only be carried out by
the After Sales Service.
Submersible pumps are driven by oilless motors and do
not practically need any maintenance.
Trouble shooting
Problem
The pump stops
The pump turns
but does not
draw wate
Low water
flow rate
The pump will not
start or suddenly
stops while in
operation
Maintenance / Trouble shooting
Cause
- Water level too low.
- Clogged suction side (foreign bodies in
pump, clogged impeller).
- Excessive pumped liquid temperature,
temperature may not exceed +35ºC in
continuous operation.
- Water level below minimum.
- Air trapped in the pump during submer-
gence or during automatic operation by
wrong position of the float switch. This
happens when at minimum level the
pump does not stop but draws air.
- Clogged suction filter or pipe.
- Bent discharge pipe or small diameter.
- Dirty base /impeller or partially clogged.
- Power failure.
- Float does not work.
- Clogged impeller.
Bearings are continuously lubricated.
Apart from cleaning the base filter occasionally, no other
maintenance is required.
Only original spare parts must be used.
Solution
- Increase pump submergence.
- Check and clean.
- Reduce liquid temperature.
- Wait at least 25 minutes for cooling the
motor.
- Top the pump.
- Let the air out by tilting the pump and
submerge again.
- Remove dirt .
- Recoil pipe and clean.
- Straighten pipe .
- Increase diameter.
- Clean.
- Check cable, plug and fuses.
- Send the pump to the technical assis-
tance service.
- Excessive fluid temperature (+35ºC).
- Clogged suction side: Clean.
