WORK AREA SAFETY

Remove all tools or other items that are not part of the equipment before turning it on or starting it up. When
operating with the machine, leave the work area clean, clear and free of debris.
Do not use this machine in explosive atmospheres or in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Exhaust
gases and fuel vapors contain carbon monoxide and hazardous chemicals.
Keep children, people or animals away while operating this machine.
Always operate the chipper on clear, level ground.
Do not operate the chipper at night, but only during the day.
Make sure that the hydraulic hose lines do not touch any hot surfaces or cutting areas. The hoses must be
positioned at a distance from the engine and the cutting wedge. To avoid serious personal injury, always inspect
the hoses before operating the chipper.
Remember that the machine operator is responsible for hazards and accidents caused to other people or things.
The manufacturer is in no way liable for any damage caused by improper or incorrect use of this machine.

FUEL SAFETY

Gasoline and oil are dangerous. Do not inhale or ingest. If you swallow fuel and/or oil, seek medical advice
promptly. If it comes into contact with fuel or oil, clean with plenty of soap and water as soon as possible. If
irritated eyes or skin occur afterward, consult a doctor immediately.
Fuel and oil are dangerous and highly flammable chemicals. If they become inflamed, extinguish the fire with a
dry powder extinguisher.
Do not spill fuel or smoke near the machine.
Always turn off the engine before refuelling.
Always refuel in well-ventilated areas. And never with the engine running, or hot.
If a fuel leak is found, do not start or run the engine until the leak has been repaired.
Make sure the fuel cap is properly closed.
Fuel stored in the carburetor for long periods of time can cause a hard start and may also lead to further repairs
and maintenance.
Always store fuel in approved containers.
MAINTENANCE, TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE SAFETY
Check that all safety features are installed and in good condition.
Before each use, check that the hydraulic jack is working properly, and that it is not misaligned, that there are no
twisted moving parts, that it is not damaged, or that there are any other conditions that may affect the safety or
performance of the equipment.
Do not force this machine. Do not modify machine controls or engine speed settings.
If the machine vibrates abnormally, stop the engine, inspect the machine for the possible cause and repair it. If
you can't find the reason, take your machine to your local service center.
Spare parts must be original to ensure that the equipment remains safe.
Do not attempt any repairs or maintenance not described in this manual.
Do not make adjustments while the machine is running.
After each use, the equipment and its parts may still be hot, allow to cool and disconnect the spark plug and/or
any power source and/or batteries before making any adjustments, changing accessories, repairs or maintenance.
Do not clean the equipment with solvents, flammable liquids or strong abrasives.
Do not carry the equipment with your hands or fingers touching any controls.
Ensure that the press table, workpiece support plates and workpiece surfaces that are in contact with the
equipment are clean and free of any debris, etc., that may cause any misalignment.
