NOTE Allow the battery to charge for at least three hours. You may use the UPS while
the battery charges, but the battery backup runtime will be reduced until the battery is
fully charged.
1. Verify that the AS/400 and other equipment to be protected by
the UPS is powered off.
2. Start the UPS by pressing and holding the On/Standby button
(large button in the center of the front panel) for approximately
one second.
The unit beeps, the front panel indicators flash briefly, and the
UPS conducts a self-test. The UPS is now supplying power to
the output receptacles.
When the self-test is complete, the top and bottom green
indicators remain on.
