MAINTENANCE
Read the safety instructions
Should the number of working hours
that the machine is in use during the indicated
period exceed the number quoted in brackets,
then use the recommended 'working hour' guide
as the maintenance schedule.
DAILY (EVERY 10 WORKING HOURS)
8.3.1 COOLING FINS AND AIR INTAKE
Check to ensure that the air blower and cooling
fins (C) Linkages (A) and exhaust (B) are kept free
of all grass clippings and debris. This is essential
to allow the free passage of air so that the cooling
system functions correctly. A blocked cooling
system will result in overheating and possible
engine damage.
Clean more frequently under adverse conditions.
WEEKLY (EVERY 50 WORKING HOURS)
8.3.2 AIR CLEANER
Replace pre-cleaner (A) &/or cartridge (B) if very
dirty or damaged.

Loosen screws. Remove cover & air cleaner
assembly from base.

Remove cartridge (B) & pre-cleaner (A).
To service pre-cleaner (A), wash in liquid detergent
& water. Squeeze dry in a clean cloth. Saturate in
engine oil. Squeeze in clean absorbent cloth to
remove all excess oil.
To service cartidge (B), clean by tapping gently on a
flat surface. Do not use petroleum solvents, e.g.,
kerosene, which will cause cartridge to deteriorate.
Do not use pressurised air, which can damage
cartridge. Do npt oil cartridge.

Install pre cleaner (A) in cover with mesh side
towards cartridge (B). Install cartridge in
cover base.

Seat cover & air cleaner assembly squarely
onto base

Tighten cover screws securely.
