Create and save a message (message no. 6)
for the Switch to GSM option, Reserved Ou-
tputs and Activation Codes (if the Reserved
Output facility is not used, save Message 6 as
an 'Empty' message, then go to step 9.).
Program the Reserved Outputs and Acti-
vation Codes, as follows:

Messages 8 through 15 are for the text commu-
nications (Alarms, Warnings, etc.) that the SMS

Dialler Facility will send to the Contact Telephone

numbers, when the associated Event occurs.
These Messages can be written in the same way
as you usually write SMS Texts on your Cellphone.
NOTE - DO NOT use characters other than
those shown in Figure 10.
NC2/VOX VOICE BOARD
NC2/VOX can record 8 Alarm messages. Four
messages of 15 seconds (Messages 1, 2, 3 and
4), and four of 7 seconds (Messages 5, 6, 7 and
8). The 8 configurations (corresponding to the 8
messages) can be viewed on the four LEDs [22]
at 1 second intervals.
z z z z z Recording/Playing Messages
Using the SERV jumper [16] put the BGSM-A
in Service mode (as per maintenance). Once
in Service mode, it will be possible to select,
record and play messages.
z z z z z Selecting a Message
Hold down the Play [30] and Record [31]
buttons.
Release the buttons when the LEDs show the
required configuration (refer to the Message
Configuration Table).
z z z z z Recording a Message
For the best results, stand at about 20 cm
from the microphone [29].
Press the Record button [31], and record the
message (the 4 Green LEDs will blink to signal
the elapsing message time).
Press the Record button [31] to stop the re-
cording phase before timeout.
Recording will stop automatically when the
message time expires.
z z z z z Playback
Press Play [30]—the 4 Green LEDs will blink
for the duration of the message.
Playback can be stopped by pressing the Play
button [30] again.
