When calculating air draft, allow additional distance
for the pendulum effect (see general instructions).
Also check that, depending on the other pièces of
equipment being used, the clearance will be adéquate
beneath the operator (refer to the différent instruc-
tions).
2.5 After a fall
Do not put product back into service. (See §3 Mainte-
nance). It is obligatory to return the appliance to the
manufacturer for checking. N.B. an appliance that has
had a fall is recognisable from the fall indicator which
certain versions possess.
3) MAINTENANCE
It is absolutely forbidden to open the appliance for
change of any of its components (n°8) unless certified
to do so.
3.1 Préventive maintenance
You must ensure :
- that the date of the obligatory annual inspection is
not passed (See §4 Maintenance).
- storage under normal conditions (dry and aired
storage place n°7)
- reguiar checking of the cable of your appliance
(grease it moderately and regu-larly)
in the case of an in appearance or operationai ano-
maly, the appliance must be obligatorily retur-ned
for inspection

3.2 Corrective maintenance

In case of fall, malfunction or any other anomaly, do
not put the product back into service. Return it to the
manufacturer or to approved servicing centres, who
will inspect the product in depth and then decide
whether to scrap it or to undertake repairs to ensure
the effectiveness of the fall arrester.

4) Periodic examination
ANTEC Stopmax VISION self-retracting cable fall arres-
ters may be inspected for two consecutive years accor-
ding to the autonomous annual inspection procedure.
(See the Annual Inspection sheet provided with the
product.
In order to ensure the longevity, reliability and safety
of the product, an in-depth inspection of the product
must be performed at least every three years by the
manufacturer or an approved center to determine if
the product can be kept in service.
In addition to the checklist provided, the annual ins-
pection can be performed on the log sheet included
with the equipment instructions or on an internal sa-
fety record form.
