CLEANING & STORAGE
• Always turn off the heater and disconnect the cord from the electrical outlet before cleaning your heater.
• Light accumulated dust may be removed from the heater with a soft cloth or vacuum cleaner.
• Clean the outside of the heater by wiping with a damp cloth and buff with a dry cloth.
• DO NOT use any detergents or abrasives and do not allow any water to enter the heater.
• DO NOT allow water to run into the interior of the heater as this could create a fire or electric shock hazard.
FIRST USE
Before first use, ensure that the voltage, frequency and power of your appliance are suitable for your electrical supply.
Before switching on your appliance, ensure that :
• the appliance is completely assembled as described in the safety instructions,
• the appliance is placed on a stable, horizontal surface,
• the appliance is positioned in accordance with the instructions given in this manual,
• The air intake and outlet grills are completely unobstructed.
When you use the appliance for the first time, it may temporarily release a faint odour and smoke (this is perfectly
normal for new appliances: it will disappear after a few minutes).
IMPORTANT : You are advised to unplug the appliance when not in use.
IN CASE OF OVERHEATING
A safety device shuts down the unit and emits an audible beep to alert you (SO9266, SO9276).
Unplug your device and allow it to cool down at least 30 minutes; then eliminate the fault that might have locked
your device.
Once cool, plug back into the electrical outlet for use.
If the fault persists or gets worse, a thermal fuse shuts the appliance down completely: it must then be taken to an
approved service centre.
IN CASE OF ANY PROBLEM
Do not disassemble the appliance yourself. A poorly repaired appliance may be dangerous for the user.
Do not use the appliance and contact an Approved Service Centre if :
• your appliance has been dropped;
• your appliance or its power cord are damaged;
• your appliance no longer functions properly.
You can find a list of Approved Service Centres on the ROWENTA and TEFAL international warranty cards.
