NEW FEATURE! This scale features our convenient step-on operation. Once initialised
the scale can be operated by simply stepping straight on the platform – no more
waiting!
PREPARING YOUR SCALE 1. Open the battery compartment on the scale underside.
2. Remove isolating tab from beneath the battery (if fitted) or insert batteries
observing the polarity signs (+ and -) inside the battery compartment. 3. Close
the battery compartment. 4. Select kg, st or lb weight mode by the switch on the
underside of the scale. 5. For use on carpet attach enclosed carpet feet. 6. Position
scale on a firm flat surface.
INITIALISING YOUR SCALE 1. Press the platform centre and remove your foot.
2. '0.0' will be displayed. 3. The scale will switch off and is now ready for use.
This initialisation process must be repeated if the scale is moved.
At all other times step straight on the scale.
OPERATING YOUR SCALE 1. Step on and stand very still while the scale computes
your weight. 2. Your weight is displayed. 3. Step off. Your weight will be displayed for
a few seconds. 4. The scale will switch off.
WARNING INDICATORS
ERR Weight exceeds maximum capacity.
LO Replace battery.
ADVICE FOR USE AND CARE • Always weigh yourself on the same scale placed on
the same floor surface. Do not compare weight readings from one scale to another
as some differences will exist due to manufacturing tolerances. • Placing your scale
on a hard, even floor will ensure the greatest accuracy and repeatability. • Weigh
yourself at the same time each day, before meals and without footwear. First thing in
the morning is a good time. • Your scale rounds up or down to the nearest increment.
If you weigh yourself twice and get two different readings, your weight lies between
the two. • Clean your scale with a damp cloth. Do not use chemical cleaning agents.
• Do not allow your scale to become saturated with water as this can damage the
electronics. • Treat your scale with care - it is a precision instrument. Do not drop it
or jump on it. • Caution: the platform may become slippery when wet.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE If you experience any difficulty in the use of your scale:
• Check the battery is correctly fitted. • Check that you have selected your
preference of stones/pounds, kilograms or pounds. • Check that the scale is on a flat,
level floor and not touching against a wall. • Repeat the 'Initialisation' procedure
every time the scale is moved. • If when you use the scale there is no display at all
or if 'LO' is displayed - try a new battery. • If 'ERR' is displayed the scale has been
overloaded.
WEEE EXPLANATION This marking indicates that this product should not be
disposed with other household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent possible
harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle
it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources. To return your
used device, please use the return and collection systems or contact the retailer
where the product was purchased. They can take this product for environmental safe
recycling.
BATTERY DIRECTIVE This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed
of in the domestic waste as they contain substances which can be damaging to the
environment and health. Please dispose of batteries in designated collection points.

GUARANTEE This product is intended for domestic use only. Salter will repair or
replace the product, or any part of this product, free of charge if within 15 years of
the date of purchase, it can be shown to have failed through defective workmanship
or materials. This guarantee covers working parts that affect the function of the
scale. It does not cover cosmetic deterioration caused by fair wear and tear or
damage caused by accident or misuse. Opening or taking apart the scale or its
components will void the guarantee. Claims under guarantee must be supported by
proof of purchase and be returned carriage paid to Salter (or local Salter appointed
agent if outside the UK). Care should be taken in packing the scale so that it is not
damaged while in transit. This undertaking is in addition to a consumer's statutory

NOUVELLE FONCTIONNALITÉ Ce pèse-personne intègre notre fonction pesage rapide
pratique. Dès les paramètres mémorisés, il suffit de monter sur le plateau pour
lancer l'appareil – plus d'attente!
PRÉPARATION DE L' A PPAREIL 1. Ouvrir le compartiment batterie situé au dos de
l'appareil. 2. Retirez la languette isolante de sous les piles (si elles sont installées)
ou insérez les piles en respectant les polarités (+ et -) indiquées à l'intérieur du
compartiment des piles. 3. Fermer le compartiment batterie. 4. Sélectionner le mode
de calcul du poids (kg, st ou lb) à l'aide du bouton à la base de l'appareil.
5. Pour une utilisation sur revêtement moquette, fixer les pieds pour tapis. 6. Placer
le pèse-personne sur une surface plane et stable.
MISE EN ROUTE DE L' A PPAREIL 1. Appuyez sur le centre du plateau avec votre pied
puis retirez-le. 2. '0.0' s'affiche. 3. L'appareil est mis hors tension et prêt à fonctionner.
Ce processus d'initialisation doit être répété en cas de déplacement de l'appareil.
Sinon, il suffit de monter sur le plateau.
UTILISATION DE L' A PPAREIL 1. Montez sur le plateau et attendez sans bouger que
l'appareil calcule votre poids. 2. Votre poids s'affiche. 3. Descendez. Votre poids reste
affiché quelques secondes. 4. L'appareil s'éteint.

ERR Le poids dépasse la capacité maximale.
LO Remplacer la pile.
CONSEILS D'UTILISATION ET D'ENTRETIEN • Toujours vous peser sur le même
pèse-personne et le même revêtement de sol. Ne pas comparer les mesures de poids
d'un pèse-personne à un autre car il existe certains écarts en raison de tolérances de
fabrication. • Positionner votre pèse-personne sur une surface plane et dure assure
la meilleure mesure et précision possible. • Pesez-vous chaque jour à la même
heure, avant les repas et sans chaussures. L'idéal est de se peser dès le lever.
• Votre pèse-personne arrondit à la valeur inférieure ou supérieure la plus proche. Si
vous vous pesez deux fois et que vous obtenez deux lectures différentes, votre poids
se situe entre les deux. • Nettoyer l'appareil avec un chiffon humide. Ne pas utiliser
de détergents chimiques. • Eviter de mettre l'appareil en contact avec l'eau ; ce qui
risquerait d'endommager les composants électroniques. • Prendre soin de l'appareil
