Disconnect the flex tubing from junction box by
loosening the connector nut securing the flex tubing. It
is located inside the junction box. (Figure 1.)

Remove the locking plate by loosening the thumbscrew
(Figure 2.)
6.
Replace the emergency battery pack and connect
correct wiring from the emergency battery pack to both
the junction box and ITS.
7 .
Secure the flex tubing connectors to the junction box.
8.
Secure the emergency battery pack in place using
the locking plate. Make sure the inverter connector is
connected. Close the junction box cover.
Through Aperture
1.
Remove the element from the ceiling, and then remove
the LED adjustment mechanism, per the instructions
on the housing installation instructions, and set it aside
inside the housing.
2.
Remove the ITS wallplate from the ceiling to get access
to the wiring and disconnect the converter connector.
3.
Make sure the inverter connector (red and white wires)
is disconnected, then disconnect the remaining wire
nuts connecting the ITS to the emergency battery pack
(Refer to Illuminated Test Switch (ITS) Servicing).
4.
Access the junction box by loosening the door
thumb-screw and removing the junction box access
door. Disconnect the wirenuts connecting the
emergency battery pack and the housing.
5.
Remove the nut securing the flex tube connector to
allow the flex tubing to be removed. It is located inside
the junction box. (Figure 1.)
6.
Access the emergency battery pack by loosening the
ballast door thumbscrews and removing the ballast
door assembly. The flex tubing can now be accessed
through the access doors. (Figure 3.)
7 .
Remove the locking plate by loosening the thumbscrew
(Figure 2.) (remove assembly through aperture).
8.
Replace the emergency battery pack through the
aperture (Figure 4.) and connect correct wiring from the
emergency battery pack to both the housing and ITS.
9.
Secure the flex tubing connector to the junction box.
10. Secure the emergency battery pack in place using the
locking plate from step 1. Make sure the converter
connector is connected. Reinstall and secure both
access doors, reinstall the LED adjustment mechanism
and the ITS faceplate, and insert the element.
Illuminated Test Switch (ITS) Servicing
The Illuminated Test Switch (ITS) can be serviced using top
access and from below the ceiling. While servicing from top
access the ITS wallplate can be removed from below the
ceiling only.

Top Access
1.
Make sure the converter connector (red and white wires)
is disconnected, then disconnect the remaining wire nuts
connecting the ITS to the emergency battery pack.
2.
Unscrew the ITS wallplate from below the ceiling and
remove it together with the ITS.
3.
Replace the ITS and attach to the wallplate, securing
it with the washer and nut. Reconnect the ITS wiring
with the emergency battery pack wiring. Make sure
the inverter connector is connected, and re-install the
faceplate to the ceiling.
From Below the Ceiling
1.
Remove the ITS wallplate from the ceiling.
2.
Access the converter connector through the opening for
the faceplate and disconnect it.
3.
Make sure the inverter connector (red and white wires)
is disconnected, then disconnect the remaining wire nuts
connecting the ITS to the emergency battery pack.
4.
Remove the ITS from the wallplate by loosening the nut.
