Problem

Possible Cause
•
Smoker is not plugged in
•
No Power
•
Faulty Heating Element
•
Another appliance plugged into same circuit
as the smoker
•
Moisture or water in controller or electrical
connections
•
Poor electrical connections
•
Faulty control panel
•
Door of smoker is left open.
•
Insufficient preheat
•
Inappropriate extension cord.
Prevention/Solution
•
Plug in Smoker (beep will sound when plugged in)
•
Turn the Smoker OFF and unplug from outlet
•
Check or replace in this order
•
Check for tripped household circuit breakers or GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter). Reset
or replace if necessary using a GFCI rated for 15 amperes or more
•
Try a known, working appliance in the outlet.
•
Try a different outlet, preferably on a different circuit.
•
Unplug thermostat connec ons and reconnect. Replace Thermostat Kit if necessary
•
Unplug control panel connec ons and reconnect. Replace Control Panel Display Kit if necessary
•
Unplug power board connec ons and reconnect. Replace Power Board Kit if necessary
•
Refer to online Electrical Replacement Manual for instruc ons on removal and replacement
•
Turn the Smoker OFF and unplug from outlet
•
Check or replace in this order
•
Unplug heating element connections and reconnect
•
Replace heating element
•
Replace Thermostat Kit
•
Replace Control Panel Display Kit
•
Replace Power Board Kit
•
Refer to online Electrical Replacement Manual for instruc ons on removal and replacement
•
Do not use other electrical appliances on the same circuit
•
Keep all electrical connec ons dry. Do not operate smoker when raining
•
Turn the Smoker OFF and unplug from outlet
•
Check or replace in this order
•
Unplug thermostat connec ons and reconnect. Replace Thermostat Kit if necessary
•
Replace Power Supply Cord Kit
•
Refer to online Electrical Replacement Manual for instruc ons on removal and replacement
•
Turn Smoker OFF and unplug from outlet
•
Check or replace in this order
•
Unplug smoker and plug back into outlet (beep will sound when plugged in)
•
Unplug thermostat connec ons and reconnect. Replace Thermostat Kit if necessary
•
Unplug control panel connec ons and reconnect. Replace Control Panel Display Kit if necessary
•
Unplug power board connec ons and reconnect. Replace Power Board Kit if necessary
•
Refer to online Electrical Replacement Manual for instruc ons on removal and replacement
•
Close door on smoker while cooking
•
Always use controller PH seng before cooking
•
Use only outdoor type with 3 prong grounding plug, rated for 15 amperes or more, approved by
UL, marked with a W-A and a tag sta ng "Suitable for Use with Outdoor Appliance". Use the
shortest length extension cord required. Do not connect 2 or more extension cords together. A
12 or 14 gauge extension cord of 50 . or less is acceptable.
