• During operation, the wax pot are heated
up to its rim. Improper use or handling
can result in burns (for up to 30 min. after
the unit is switched off).
• The Waxprofi is designed to be used
exclusively in conjunction with commer-
cially available dental waxes. Never use
the unit to heat other types of materials!
• Please note: Overfilled pots can overflow!
• Materials whose flash point is under
175 °C (347 °F) may not be stored in prox-
imity to the Waxprofi or come in contact
with the Waxprofi.
• Never rinse the unit with water or sub-
merge it. The mains power will result in
electric shock!
• It is the responsibility of the operator that
national regulations during operation and
regarding a repeated safety inspection of
electrical equipment are complied with.
For Germany these are the regulation 3 by
DGUV (German Statutory Accident Insur-
ance) in relation with VDE (Association for
Electrical & Electronic Technology) 0701-
0702.

5. Commissioning /
Operation
1. Connect the Waxprofi to the mains power
outlet (Figure 2).
2. Open lid (D). The lid can be locked in place
at a 120° angle (Figure 3).
3. It may be necessary to fold wax sheets
(Figure 4a).
4. Add the waxes to be heated to the pot
(Figure 4b).
Fill up the pot only to the circular
marking (Figure 7)!
Folding or breaking the denture wax
sheets to fit the pot volume is the
most practical method. When operat-
ing the unit for the first time, fill the
wax pot in stages.
5. Switch the Waxprofi on at switch (A).
5.1 Setting the Temperature
The desired temperature is adjusted at the
rotary potentiometer (B). The scale divisions are
identified in both °C (blue) or °F (red) (Figure 5).
The temperature is infinitely adjustable within
the range is between 40 - 110 °C (104 - 230 °F).
We recommend the following procedure when
commissioning the Waxprofi in order to obtain
the desired wax consistency:
1. Set the Waxprofi temperature to
15 - 20 °C (59 - 68 °F) above the liquefaction
point of the base wax.
