USE OF TOP LINK
Once Top link has been set, it is ready for use. How Top Link controls the hood depends on whether Top Link is installed with an oven or a hob.
CONTROL VIA HOOD
When the hob is turned on, the hood will turn on at level 2 and the light will come on. When the hob is turned off, the hood will continue to run
at level 2 for about 3 minutes, after which the hood will continue on after-running for 15 minutes at level 1.
You can control Top Link at all times by using the hood's control to increase or reduce the extraction power.
Regardless of which extraction power is selected, Top Link will set the hood to level 1 and 15 minutes after-running 3 minutes after the hob is
turned off.
If the hood is turned off using the control on the hood while the hob is still switched on, the hood will NOT be set to after-running when the
hob is turned off.
CONTROL VIA OVEN
When the oven is turned on, the hood will turn on at level 1. The hood's light will not turn on.
When the oven is turned off, the hood will run at level 1 for 20 minutes, after which the hood switches itself off.
You can overmodulate Top Link at all times by using the hood's control to increase the extraction power and turn on the hood light. If the
extraction power is increased, the hood will run for 20 minutes at the speed selected once the oven has been turned off. If the light on the
hood is turned on, it will remain on for 20 minutes after the oven has been turned off.
NOTE: If Top Link is connected to both a hood and an oven, and both devices are in use, the hob will overmodulate the oven.
