Efficient. Effective. Essential.
MAKING THE MACHINE SAFE
- provide suitable lighting for the area around the machine (by giving the operators electrical lights).
- make sure the machine is disconnected from all power supplies.
- make sure all moving parts have come to a full stop.
- wait until the external temperature of the machine has reached a value which is not too hot to the touch.
- mechanically lock up all moving parts.
7. DISMOUNT
WARNING: dismount procedure must be carried out by qualified, trained and instructed personnel who are adequately
equipped with protection devices.
Proceed to the mounting operations (reported in the technical sheet) in the opposite direction, implementing all safety
procedures described in chapter 5. INSTALLATION.
8. DISPOSAL
When the fan reaches the end of its life, the final user or whoever acts on his behalf must correctly dispose of it in
authorized sites, conceived to receive electro-mechanical industrial products.
Otherwise it is necessary to carry out some operations before giving the materials to the authorized sites or ecological
islands:
- separate the electrical components from the mechanical components.
- separate different materials such as plastics, steel, copper etc...
Dispersing materials to the environment or to unauthorized sites is a criminal offense, prosecuted by the competent
authorities.
9. OPERATING PROBLEMS
Bear in mind that, if a Refresh Fans Inc. system is not working, there may be more than one cause. All causes must be
identified and systematically removed.
ANOMALY
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Fan doesn't start
Motor parameter settings
The cause is mechanical if the noise

SOLUTION
- After switching off electric power supply, manually check that the impeller rotates
- Check the status of the power supply protection device.
- Check the correct connection of the motor to the power grid.
- The intervention of the thermal protection prevents the fan from restarting. The
cause must be eliminated. Decrease the load.
- In the case of fan control via MODBUS, check the registers/ parameters.
- Mechanical noise can be caused by vibrations due to unbalance of the rotating
parts and/or damaged bearings. In both cases, it is necessary to contact qualified
personnel to properly repair or replace the parts.
- Check the correct connection and tightening of the supply cables.
- If MODBUS interface is present, check the motor parameters.
- Compare ambient temperature with the maximum allowed temperature, reported
- Check that the MODBUS motor parameters are correctly set.
- Check for voltage drops and/or supply line defects.
