6 Putting into operation

6.1 Equipping the TIG welding torch

DANGER
Risk of injury due to unexpected start-up.
For the entire duration of maintenance, servicing, dismounting and repair
work, the following instructions must be adhered to:
• Switch off the power supply.
• Close off the gas supply.
• Pull the mains plug.
NOTE
• TIG welding torches may only be put into operation by trained
personnel.
CAUTION

Risk of injury

Puncture wound may be caused by sharpened electrode tip.
• Do not reach into the danger zone.
• Wear protective gloves.
NOTE
• The torch equipment depends on the material to be welded. The required
amperage determines the electrode diameter. Please see the current
order documents for a correct selection of the equipment parts.
• Instead of the electrode holder, you may also use a gas diffuser that
produces a laminar gas flow due to its design.
