Installing the CVR640 on digital NV devices
The CVR640 is fitted with a mount which enables the unit to be affixed to a
Weaver rail of your NV device.
If your NV device does not have a Weaver rail, the CVR640 can be attached
with the help of the supplied ¼" tripod socket adaptor. To do this, screw the
adaptor into the tripod socket of a digital NV device and attach the CVR640 to
the Weaver rail of the adaptor.
Software
The delivered memory card contains useful files as follows:
CVR640 Driver – Driver software for the CVR640 which serves to connect the
unit to your PC. Install this driver before connection.
CVR640 Video Converter – software to enable direct video recording to a PC
hard disc.
settime.txt – time and date setup file.

The CVR 640 is compatible with operating systems Windows XP, Windows Vista
and Windows 7.
Note: It is recommended that before use of the CVR640 you should save the
supplied software to your PC. In case of loss of the software files, you can e-mail

No memory card or memory card is full.
Connection to PC
The CVR640 should be powered off.
Insert SD memory card into the CVR640, connect the CVR640 with the
supplied USB cable to your PC – the CVR640 will be detected as a removable
disc.
With the help of Total Commander or another file manager you can handle the
SD card as a removable disc.
Note: Transmission speed from the memory card to the PC will not exceed
1Mb/sec.
Video recording to a PC hard disc
The CVR640 should be powered off and memory card removed.
Use a USB cable to connect the CVR640 to the PC.
A window as shown in pic. 3 comes up. Now you will be able to handle the files
recorded on the unit's memory card. Press the "EXIT" button when finished.
