1.
Remove the control and thermostat knobs, grilles
and filters.
2.
Remove and retain the wing nuts from the heater
assembly. Assemble heater bracket to heater
assembly as shown in Figure 1, re-using the wing
nuts.
3.
Position heater assembly into the return air opening
as shown in Figure 2, assembling the heater bracket
to the weld studs on the brackets in the return air
opening.
4.
Secure the heater assembly in place using wing nuts
provided in the heater kit.
5.
Remove and discard the two pin safety plug from
the ceiling assembly and plug in the heater
umbilical. The plugs must "snap-lock" into
position. TIE ALL WIRING TO INSURE NO
CONTACT WITH THE HEATER OR ANY
SHARP EDGES. KEEP IN MIND THAT HIGH
VELOCITY AIR WILL BE ENCOUNTERED
IN THIS AREA.
6.
Replace the return air grille/filter and reinstall the
temperature control knob. Use the selector switch
knob found in this kit and discard the original
"cool only" knob.
7.
After installation of the heater (and control box if
used), the front two bolts may be installed.
