PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE
MODULE
TAU modules are made with the most ad-
vanced constructional technology.
The result is a practical and compact frame
with 4 slotted holes that eases and speeds
up the installation of the modules.
The frame/angle assembly system has shown
to be extremely efficient in guaranteeing
greater sturdiness and a perfect electrical
continuity between the frame components.
SECTION OF THE MODULE
The
cells
are
permanently
between sheets of ethylene vinyl acetate
(EVA), toughened glass and white Tedlar in
order to give an ideal protection against the
infiltration of humidity and saline corrosion.
The toughened glass, which is highly
transparent to direct and diffused light, is
fixed to the frame with silicon that ensures an
efficient protection against mechanical and
environmental stresses.
JUNCTION BOX
A spacious sealed junction with an IP65 protection
class, contains the by-pass diode and suitable con-
nection terminals. It normally has a PG9 cable con-
nector to ease connections and is made in full con-
sideration of those installing it. In fact:
1. All screws can be tightened both with a flat screw-
driver as well as a Phillips screwdriver.
2. The covers have unlosable screws which are con-
nected to the junction box, thereby guaranteeing
easy installation and maintenance.
3. All connections are "to weld" so that they are long-
er lasting and more reliable.
4. The terminals and by-pass diode are fitted on a
printed circuit so that they can be easily replaced
if damaged by lightning.
