2. Safety Instructions

Read all the safety warnings and instructions. Any
failure to comply with the safety warnings or instruc-
tions could cause electric shock, fire and/or serious per-
sonal injury.
2.1 Safety in the Work Area
• Keep the work area clean and well-lit. Untidy or poorly-lit
areas can cause accidents.
• Do not use power tools in explosive environments or in the
presence of flammable liquids, gases or powder. Power
tools generate sparks that could ignite gases or powder.
• Do not allow other people, especially children, to ap-
proach while you are using a power tool. Distractions may
cause you to lose control of it.
2.2 Electrical Safety
Follow the instructions below to prevent electrical discharge
when using Turbothrust Saw®.
Recommendation: electricity must always be supplied to
the tool through a residual-current device (RCD) with a no-
minal residual current of no more than 30 mA.
• The plug used with the power tool must be suitable for use
with the plug socket. Do not modify the plug in any way. Do
not use plug adaptors with Turbothrust Saw®.
• Avoid physical contact with earthed elements, such as
pipes, radiators, heaters and refrigerators.
• Do not expose the power tool to rain or other forms of
moisture. If use of the power tool in a damp environment
is unavoidable, use an electricity supply that is protected
by an RCD.
• When using the power tool outdoors, use an extension
cable that is suitable for outdoor use.
• Do not force the cable. Never carry the power tool by its
cable or pull on the cable to unplug it. Keep the cable away
from sources of heat, oil, sharp edges and moving parts.
• Hold Turbothrust Saw® by the insulated handle when
using it to cut through surfaces that may contain hidden
cables or are positioned near the power cables. There is a
risk of electrical discharge if the metal parts of Turbothrust
Saw® come into contact with live cables.
• Check walls and ceilings to avoid hidden pipes and elec-
trical cables.
• Check the power cables and plugs before using Tur-
bothrust Saw®. If you notice any faults, these must be re-
paired prior to using the tool.
• Make sure any extension cables you use are in good con-
dition. Do not use extension cables that extend for more
than 25 metres, as this may damage the tool.
2.3 Personal Safety
Follow the instructions below to ensure your personal safe-
ty when using Turbothrust Saw®.
• Be alert, watch what you are doing and use common sen-
se when operating Turbothrust Saw®. Do not use power
tools if you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol
or medication.
• Use personal protective equipment. Wear protection for
your eyes and ears. If you are working in a dusty environ-
ment, use a dust mask.
• Do not allow the tool to be switched on accidentally. Make
sure the switch is in the "Off" position before connecting
the tool to the power supply, when picking it up and when
carrying it.
• Remove all adjustment keys and wrenches before swit-
ching on Turbothrust Saw®. If any keys are attached to a
rotating part of the tool, this could cause injury.
• Do not adopt unnatural postures. Keep your feet firmly on
the ground and maintain good balance at all times.
• Wear suitable clothing. Baggy garments, gloves, jewellery
and long hair could get caught up in the moving parts.
• Keep your hands away from the work area.

Using Turbothrust Saw® to sand, saw, grind, drill and

other masonry products.
• Arsenic, boron and chrome from chemically treated wood.
Follow the instructions below to ensure your personal safe-
