2 Preparation
2.1 Changing the mains plug adapter
The appliance is supplied with a mains plug adapter 14. Other mains plug adapt-
ers can be ordered from the customer service centre (see service address on the
back of these user instructions).
DANGER!
Use only the original mains plug adapters 14.
Pull the power supply unit 16 out of the power socket before you change the
mains plug adapter 14.

NOTE: ensure that you do not bend the small pins on the power supply unit 16.
1. Hold down the release key 13 while pulling off the
mounted mains plug adapter 14.
2. Insert the required mains plug adapter 14 into the
power supply unit 16. Ensure that the release
key 13 is located at the top and audibly clicks into
place.
2.2 Setting up charging station and accessory holder
• Figure A: insert the accessory holder 8 sideways into the brackets below the
charging station 9 (as shown). The accessory holder allows you to keep the
comb attachments 7, the oil bottle 6 and the cleaning brush 5 to hand at all
times.
• Place the charging station on a level, non-slip surface.
• Lay the connecting cable 15 such that nobody can trip over it.
• Keep the connecting cable 15 away from hot surfaces.

Charging process

The appliance is not yet ready for operation when delivered.
Before first use, the appliance should be charged for 2 hours.
The charging time is then approx. 1 hour. "Overcharging" the appliance is not
possible.
DANGER!
Before plugging in the power supply unit 16, check that the voltage of the wall
socket corresponds to the specifications on the type plate.
