The SP0425 SelectaFlo
Using the union connections built into the SelectaFlo
Figure 1, union nuts to be hand tightened ONLY. The PUMP, RETURN, and WASTE ports are 2" socket x
2 ½" spigot (solvent weld) connections. For 2 ½" piping, a standard 2 ½" x 2 ½" coupling is required.
The supplied elbow can be used on the WASTE port to direct waste piping away from the equipment
pad. Proper Solvent Cementing practices as outlined in ASTM D2855 and ASTM F493 should be
followed.
For simple and efficient plumbing from TriStar
EFC3220SF union fitting from the PUMP outlet to the PUMP port on valve as shown in Figure 2.

For normal filtration and vacuuming pool through filter.
PUMP – THROUGH FILTER – WASTE
BACKWASH
For cleaning filter.
PUMP – THROUGH VALVE ONLY – WASTE
WASTE
For vacuuming directly to waste, lowering pool level and/or draining pool.
PUMP – THROUGH VALVE – RETURN
RECIRCULATE
For bypassing filter, but circulating pool water.
