MOUNTING AND WIRING YOUR FIXTURE
WARNING: Risk of electric shock. Disconnect
power at fuse or circuit breaker before installing
or servicing.
NOTE: Fixture can be wall or eave mounted (Fig. 3).
NOTE: Coverplate mounts to recessed mounted
standard junction boxes (Fig. 4). Junction box must be
at least 1-1/2 inch in depth for proper installation for
recessed mount application. For surface mount junction
box installation, refer to installation instructions included
with the adaptar plate kit (E).
1. Line up the holes on the mounting bracket (B) with
the holes on your junction box. Using either (2) #6
screws or (2) #8 screws (D) (depending on size of
the holes in your junction box), attach the mounting
bracket (B) to your junction box (Fig. 5).
2. Thread fixture wires through coverplate
gasket (C) (Fig. 8).
3. Hang one end of the support hook onto the
mounting bracket and hang the light fixture on the
other end of the support hook (Fig. 6).
4. Connect house ground wire and fixture ground wire
by firmly pushing into quick connect wiring
connector. Connect fixture black wire to house black
wire and fixture white wire to house white wire by
firmly pushing into quick connect wiring connectors
(Fig. 8)
5. Attach fixture (A) to the mounting bracket (B) using
(2) #8 x 1-1/4 in. screws (F) pre-attached to the
canopy. Be sure no loose wires remain sticking out
from underneath the coverplate. Insert the
decorative screw cover caps (G) into the screw
holes on the coverplate for a finished
appearance (Fig. 7).
6. Adjust light fixture to desired postion by loosening
the thumbscrew on the upper arm. Move the head
to aim and retighten the thumbscrew and jam nut.
7. Apply silicone caulk around the edges of the
coverplate to provide a watertight seal from
rain and moisture.
8. Turn on power at main fuse / breaker box.
OPERATING YOUR FIXTURE
1. Rotate duration knob on bottom of the sensor to
"TEST" (Fig. 9).
2. Turn the arrow on the sensitivity knob to a middle
point between "+" and "-."
3. Turn on the power to fixture. Allow fixture to warm
up approximately 40 seconds before testing. (Lights
may not come on during warm-up period.)
4. Aim sensor head toward desired detection area,
maintaining a 5°–15° down angle.
5. Walk across the detection zone at the farthest
distance you wish your motion sensor to detect
motion.
6. Adjust sensor head angle until you get desired
results. Lights will turn off 4 seconds after all
motion stops.
NOTE: For maximum range performance, allow fixture
to operate in any mode (with power to the unit) for at
least 48 hours.
7. To set the ON time, rotate duration knob arrow to
point to the desired time setting within the range
(up to 12 minutes) (Fig.9).

Cause / Solution
No power to the fixture.
• Check if circuit breaker tripped.
• Confirm wall switch is ON.
Surrounding external ambient light is too bright. (If so, the unit may
think it is daytime.)
• Re-aim the head.
• Relocate or reposition the unit away from the light.
TURN OFF POWER BEFORE CONTINUING
Wiring to the unit is loose.
• Check wiring; reconnect if necessary.
There is motion in the detection zone.
• Make sure the sensor is not picking up moving objects such as
trees, traffic, etc.
TEST FOR YOURSELF.
• Cover the sensor lens with cardboard to prevent sensor
from detecting motion. If the light stays off, something in the
detection zone is triggering the sensor.
* If the light stays on with the sensor lens covered, contact
customer service.
• Reposition the sensor.
There is motion in the detection zone.
• Make sure the sensor is not picking up moving objects such as
trees, traffic, etc.
• Reposition the sensor.
If there is no motion in the detection zone, unit is in "Dusk to Dawn
Setting" (override mode).
• Turn the light switch to the OFF position for 40 seconds, and
then turn back to the ON position. This will send the unit back
into "Auto" mode.
The light given from the unit's own lamp is affecting the
motion sensor.
• Re-aim the lamp.
• Reposition motion sensor.
The controls on the bottom of the motion sensor are in "TEST" mode.
• Change dial setting (not "TEST" mode).
The motion detector is shadowed.
• Reposition motion sensor.
Surrounding external ambient light is too bright. (If so, the unit may
think it is daytime.)
• Re-aim the head.
• Relocate or reposition the unit away from the light.
Not enough time is allowed to enter the "Dusk to Dawn Setting."
• Turn power OFF and ON twice within 3 seconds.
There is more than one fixture on an indoor wall switch.
• If so, put them on separate switches.
