Lithium-Ion cells can be stored for a long
period without losing much of their
charge. When the machine is not being
used over a longer period of time it is
best to store the battery in charged
condition.
Fitting and removing drills or screwdriver bits
Fig. D
The machine bit holder (4) is suitable for drills
and screwdriver bits with a standard ¼ inch.
hexagonal shaft. To fit a screwdriver bit:
• H old the machine (1) firmly with one hand.
• I nsert the screw driver bit (10) into the
machine's bit holder (4), it will be hold by a
magnet.
• T he screw driver bit can be removed by pulling
it out of the bit holder again.
• T he magnetic bit holder (11) can be used for
screws that are difficult to reach. Put it directly
into the machine's bit holder.
Adjusting the direction of rotation
Fig. E
• S et the direction switch (5) to position '<<' in
order to drive screws or to use it for drilling.
• S et the direction switch (5) to position '>>' in
order to remove screws.
Switching the machine on and off
Fig. E
The on/off switch (6) is used for activating the
machine.
• P ressing the on/off switch (6) will activate the
machine.
• R eleasing the on/off switch (6) will stop the

User tips
When driving screws into wood, metal and other
materials:
• B efore using the appliance check if the drill or
screw bit is properly fitted and centered inside
the drill chuck.
• S crew bits are available in several shapes and
dimensions. When unsure, always try if the bit
fits on the screw head without any free play
before using the machine.
• M ake sure the machine is not running when
it contacts the screw. A rotating bit may slip.
This could result in damage to the work piece.
• A lways hold the tool and screwdriver bit in a
straight line with the screw.
• I f screws are difficult to tighten, try applying a
small amount of washing liquid or soap as a
lubricant to the screws thread.
• U se the spindle lock feature to loosen very
tight screws or to firmly tighten screws.
• W hen screwing in wood, it is recommended
to drill a hole with a depth equal to almost the
length of the screw. A pilot hole guides the
screw and prevents splintering or distortion of
the work piece.
