Troubleshooting
Warning: Do not try to repair your TV combo yourself. Refer all servicing to qualified service
personnel. Do not remove the back cover. Your TV combo has dangerous electrical
voltages inside that may cause a fire or injury.
Note: Your TV combo may make occasional snapping or popping noises. This is caused by
materials in the cabinet expanding or contracting when the room temperature changes.
This is normal.
Symptom
No picture or sound.
Picture has snow.
Picture has double or triple
image.
Picture has wavy lines.
No sound.
Picture has no color.
Picture is scrambled and sound is
poor.
Color is spotty.
Solution
Make sure that the power cord is connected to a power outlet and
that the outlet is supplying power.
Make sure that your TV combo is not in Listen mode.
Adjust the brightness and contrast.
Make sure that the antenna is connected securely.
Adjust the antenna.
If you are using an inside antenna, try installing an outside antenna.
Make sure that the antenna is connected securely.
Make sure that the antenna cables and connectors are in good
condition. Replace them as necessary.
Adjust the antenna.
You may be experiencing interference from cars, motorcycles,
fluorescent lights, or overhead power cables. Try moving your
TV combo or adjusting the antenna.
Make sure that the sound is not muted.
Increase the volume.
Adjust the color controls.
You may be tuned to a channel with a weak signal. Try changing the
channel.
This can be caused when you move your TV combo, when magnets
are placed too close to your TV combo, or when appliances are turned
on or off.
Turn off your TV combo for 15 minutes, then turn it on. Your
TV combo automatically degausses (demagnetizes) the picture. If
this does not work, turn off your TV combo and leave it off overnight.
