Operation
Mask Pattern Release Mode
Mask pattern mode is used in order to release the main subject quickly and easily
by means of an appropriate software programme (not included in the scope of
delivery) .
Please note that you need at least two flash devices in order to be able to use the
function correctly and effectively .
1 . Activate the mask pattern function .
2 . There are two groups in the mask pattern mode that set a flash on 1 (group 1) .
This flash will be released as the first one (see figure 1 – a correctly exposed
image) .
3 . The background flash is set on 2 (group 2) and is not released with the first image
but only with the second one (see figure 2 – no lighting on the subject but there is
on the background) .
4 . Now, by means of software, the main image can simply be released from the
background .
Example
1 . There are two main flashes that are set on no .1 (group 1) . These flashes are
released first (see figure 1 – a correctly exposed image) .
2 . The two background flashes are set on no . 2 (group 2) and these are not fired for
the first image, but only for the second (see figure 2 – no lighting on the subject
but there is on the background) .
3 . Now, by means of software, the main image can simply be released from the
background for the second image .
