Replacing the CMF
Cartridge
When the flow meter's red warning
light flashes, replace your old CMF
Cartridge with a new one.
IMPORTANT NOTE: It is very
important to use the same kind of CMF
cartridge that was shipped with your
filter as the values programmed into
the water meter apply only to genuine
Rena Ware parts.
1. Follow steps 1, 2, and 3 under
"Cleaning the CMF Cartridge".
2. Properly discard the used CMF
Cartridge.
NOTE: Do not discard the large O-ring.
3. Fill the filter housing with warm
soapy water and scrub the inside
surface with a soft brush or
sponge. To avoid scratches, do not
use abrasive pads or cleaners
inside the filter housing. Rinse
thoroughly.
4. Remove the plastic wrap and label
from the replacement CMF
Cartridge.
5. Insert the CMF Cartridge into
the filter base by applying a sliding
pressure straight down, then
twist the CMF Cartridge to slide it
into place. (Figure 7)

6. Coat the large O-ring with silicone
lubricating gel (included in the
maintenance kit) and place it in the
base. If the O-ring is worn, replace
it with the extra one included in the
original maintenance kit.
