housing back into the base.

8. After the cartridge has been
replaced, open the battery
compartment in the bottom of the
base and replace the old batteries
with two new, high-quality AAA
batteries. This will reset the flow
meter to "0" and the green and
blue LED light will start flashing
again when water is flowing
through the filter.
Lubricating the Diverter Valve
Over time, a diverter valve may lose its lubrication
and become more difficult to operate. To
improve the operation, place a small drop of
silicone lubricating gel (or petroleum jelly, e.g.
Vaseline
) at the points shown. Then turn the
®
valve handle back and forth several times to
spread the lubricant to all moving parts.
9. Position the filter so that the water
spout points into the sink. Run
COLD water through the filter
for 10 minutes, do not use
the filter for 24 hours, and then
run COLD water through the filter
for another 10 minutes.
