b. Reassemble rear panel. (Ensure that
drain punchout has been removed, if
required. See Step 1b.)
c. Reassemble cage wrap.
10. Installing water recirculation piping:
a. Remove the cap on the recirculation
inlet on the shell. (This will already
have been removed from the UW35PV
for drain assembly.)
b. Attach the 1-1/2-inch black hose
connector (no clamp grooves), included
in the kit, to the shell recirculation inlet.
c. Slide the cage wrap bracket, included
in the kit, onto the upper recirculation
pipe, also included in the kit.
d. Attach upper recirculation pipe (long
end on top) to the hose connector at
the shell recirculation inlet. Do not
secure clamps.
e. Position upper recirculation pipe so that
it is parallel to the cage wrap surface
and aligned with the shell recirculation
inlet. Slide cage wrap bracket
approximately 6 inches from the rear of
the cage wrap and mark the cage wrap
with a permanent marker through the
hole on the cage wrap bracket.
f. Remove the upper recirculation pipe
and drill a 1/16-inch hole in the cage
wrap on the marked spot.
g. Fasten the cage wrap bracket to the
cage wrap by securing with a sheet
metal screw, included in the kit,
through the 1/16-inch hole.
h. Position the upper recirculation pipe by
sliding it through the cage wrap bracket

and inserting it into the hose connector
at the shell recirculation inlet.
i. Tighten the clamps on the hose
connector at the shell recirculation
inlet. Tighten the securing bolt on the
cage wrap bracket. Ensure that the
upper recirculation pipe is tight and
fully secured.
j. Align the lower recirculation pipe to the
upper recirculation pipe and the pump
outlet. Ensure that the canister/filter/
pump assembly can be positioned so
that the flex hose from the left drain to
the canister/filter bends comfortably.
If the flex hose looks to be crimped or
stretched excessively, flip the lower
recirculation pipe around and reposition
the canister/filter/pump assembly until
the flex hose bends comfortably.
k. Slide one 1-1/2-inch black connector
(with clamp grooves), included in the
kit, onto the upper recirculation pipe
side of the lower recirculation pipe.
l. Assemble the other 1-1/2-inch black
connector (with clamp grooves),
included in the kit, to the pump outlet.
m. Position the lower recirculation pipe
between the upper recirculation pipe
and the pump outlet. Verify alignment.
Secure the lower recirculation pipe to
the pump outlet by tightening the
clamps on the 1-1/2-inch black
connector.
n. Slide the other 1-1/2-inch connector
between the upper and lower
recirculation pipes. Tighten the
connector clamps.
o. Verify that all pipe connections are tight
and fully secure.
Verify operation with Control Function Test.
