3. EXAMPLES OF INSTALLATION
WARNING: Owing to the fact that the range changes according to the colors, if the REM is used as an opening
command it might not provide the desired performance. In this case use another type of sensor.
In order to increase the detection area, it is possible to install two REM cards inside the REM100 profile (see
example A in figure 2).

3.3 Opening and safety REM

Rem1 (open):
C → 1 / NA → 3 / S (Rem1) → S (Rem2)
Rem2 (safety):
C → 1 / NO → 25 / P → 26 / S (Rem1) → S (Rem2)
When T1 of REM1 and REM2 is appropriately regulated, the person approaching
the door is detected and REM1 and/or REM2 send(s) an opening command.
As soon as the door begins to open, the REM2 switches to short range (T2).
During the opening/closing operations, the door stops if REM2 detects a person. As
soon as the person moves away from the detection area, the door reopens.
Regulate the short range T2 of REM2 so that when the door is fully open, the REM2
will not detect the adjacent wall.
C → 1 / NA → 3 / P → 26
When T1 is appropriately regulated, the person approaching the door is detected
and the REM sends an opening command.
As soon as the door begins to open, the REM switches to short range (T2).
During the opening/closing operations, the door reopens if REM detects a person.
NOTE: if using another sensor for the opening command, the REM may be used as
a reopening safety device: C → → → → → 1 / NC → → → → → 8 / P → → → → → 26.
Regulate the short range (T2) so that during the opening movement of the door the
REM will not detect the closing edge.
C → 1 / NA → 25 / P → 26
When T1 is appropriately regulated, the person approach-
ing the door is detected and the REM sends an opening
command.
As soon as the door begins to open, the REM switches to
short range (T2).
During the opening/closing operations, the door stops if
REM detects a person. As soon as the person moves away
from the detection area, the door reopens.
Regulate the short range (T2) so that when the door is fully
open, the REM will not detect the adjacent wall.
