The RIDGID Framesets for JMA Connectors, when used with a RIDGID
Compact Press Tool, are designed to axially press electrical connectors
onto cable creating a reliable connection. When the trigger switch on the
press tool is depressed, an internal motor powers a hydraulic pump
which forces fluid into the cylinder of the tool, forcing the ram forward and
applying thousands of pounds of force onto the specially designed con-
nector.
The entire cycle duration is only 4 to 8 seconds. Once the cycle begins,
the ram will not retract unless the connection is completed or the pressure
release button on the side of the tool is depressed.
