User guide
Cleaning
•
Ensure the unit is cleaned after every use.
•
Do not use chemical cleaning agents to clean the control unit of the Vortice.
•
Only the cage and heater element should be submerged in water.
•
Do not immerse or de-scale the clamp.
•
Scale on the cage and heater element can be removed using a chemical de-scaling product designed for use on
kitchen equipment with metal parts.
•
Warning: de-scaling products may be toxic. Follow manufacturers instructions.
•
Do not wash the clamp and cage in a dishwasher. If anything has spilt into the equipment, disconnect it from the power
supply and have it checked by a qualified professional.
Routine maintenance check
Check that the float is operating correctly before each use. Ensure no grease or foreign objects are preventing the float
from working during operation.
Safety cut out and alarm light
The Vortice is fitted with a float switch which monitors the liquid level during operation. Should the liquid level drop
below a certain level, the safety cut out will be activated and alarm light will appear. The display will show 'Flot'. Fill the
vessel with water to at least the minimum level before resuming operation.
