1.- Park the vehicle on a firm and even surface.
Preparation
2.- Turn off the vehicle and remove the ignition key. If necessary, allow the
engine/exhaust to cool prior to installation.
3.- Read these intructions carefully before assembly and examine whether all
parts are enclosed in accordance with the parts list.
If you do not feel technical qualified to install this product on your own, please
consult with your nearest SUZUKI dealer.
1.- Support the engine with a suitable jack.
Mounting
2.- Remove the upper frame screw and the engine bolt at the mounting points
on the left side of the vehicle, shown in drawing I. Attach the left accessory bar
(1) to the vehicle as shown in drawing I.
To avoid contact with the frame and for tension-free mounting use washers
(4) and (9) to clear space if necessary.
Do not fully tighten screw (7).
3.- Remove the upper frame screw at the mounting point on the right side of
the vehicle, shown in drawing II. Attach the right accessory bar (2) to the
vehicle as shown in drawing II.
To avoid contact with the frame and for tension-free mounting use washers
(4) and (9) to clear space if necessary.
Do not fully tighten screws (8) and (3).
4.- Stick the cushions (13) and (14) to the cross binder (11) and clamps (12),
as shown in the detail drawings of drawings III and IV. Connect the accessory
bars with the cross binder, as shown in drawings III and IV. Pay attentions to
the openings on the inner side of the accessory bars and the positioning pins
of the cross binder. Do not fully tighten screws (15).
Make sure all mounting parts fit without tension, then tighten all screws.
Pay attention to the recommended torque:
Screw (3) (M12): 93 Nm.
Screws (7) & (8) (M10): 55 Nm.
Screws (15) (M8): 23 Nm.
Due to mounted SUZUKI Genuine Accessories the service and maintanance
Inspection
flat rate might be affected. Dismounting / Mounting of SUZUKI Genuine
Accessories is possibly necessary for service and maintenance.
The holder of the vehicle should always be in possession of the mounting
instructions.
Attachments can loosen from vibrations. Examine the screw tightness in
regular intervals in agreement with the service manual.
