OVERVIEW
Once you have your QM7500 installed, purge the printhead. After purging, enter your message. Use the designated
keys to enter any special information, such as time or date codes, product count, etc. Refer to the headings below for
more detailed information on each function.
START-UP
1. Install your QM7500 and bottle of ink according to the Installation card instructions.
2. Turn the unit ON. (Plug the male connector of the power supply into the back of the unit.)
3. Press the letters Z A P ! To access the exclamation point (!), press the Shift key followed by the A key.
4. If the unit is already operating in your desired language, you are ready to program a message. If the QM7500 is
not displaying screen prompts in the desired language, select the unit operating language by keying in the letters
below that correspond to your desired operating language. You may only change the operating language at the
main menu level. Note: The QM7500 always restarts in the last selected operating language.
English: E N G L
Italian: I TA L
Swedish: S V E N
5. Plain zeros (0) are the default print setting for all languages. To change from plain zeros to slash zeros, press the
slash (/) key four times at the main menu. To change from slash zeros to plain zeros, press the Shift key followed
by the zero (0) key and repeat three more times at the main menu.
6. The English pound sterling is the default print setting for all languages. To change from the English pound sterling
to the cent sign, press the C key four times from the main menu. To change from the cent sign to the English
pound sterling, press the Shift-slash (/) key four times from the main menu.
7. Purge the printhead. See "Purge."
8. Set the time and date. See "Clock/Calendar."
9. Enter your message. See "New/Edit Message."
SELECTING MAIN MENU ITEMS
1. Use the Up and Down cursor keys to select one of the ten menu items.
2. Press the Return key.

1. Print message number is displayed. Key in the message number of the stored
message. You do not need to press the Shift key; just key in the desired number(s).
2. Press the Return key.
3. Print? No Yes is displayed. Use the Left and Right cursor keys to select
YES, if this is the proper message; and return to main menu. Or, if not, select NO
and begin the process over.
4. Press the Return key.
