To execute a desired function, press the particular key.
Pressing the Print key turns the print cycle of the QM7500 on or off. A green light
indicates print on; the QM7500 will print when the photocells are triggered. A red light
indicates print off; the QM7500 will not print. An orange light indicates the unit is in the
middle of a print cycle, or one or both photocells are blocked.
1.
Use the Up and Down cursor keys to select a dot size between 1 and 9.
Hint: The QM7500 is preset to dot-size 1. Lower dot size usually provides better print
quality (especially for high-speed applications), and better ink mileage. Therefore, use
the lowest dot size that provides acceptable print quality. Use higher dot size to print
bolder characters, or to help compensate for valve wear.
The ZAP! function resets the dot size to its default of 1.
2.
Press the Return key to return to the main menu.
1. Place a container in front of the printhead nozzles to catch ink as it is expelled from
the printhead.
2.
Press the Purge key.
3. Press the space bar to start purge is displayed. To return to the main menu without
purging, press the Return key. WARNING: When you press the space bar, the
printhead will begin spraying ink.
4. Press the space bar.
5. Purging – press any key to stop is displayed. To quit purging, press any key. You
will return to the main menu.
